Mission
To see the Nipissing District have an active, united and thriving arts community filled with art events and opportunities for artists.
Vision
Our goal is to be an inclusive, accessible, and responsive umbrella organization that will play a partnership role in strengthening the connections between artists, arts organizations, and the community. We aim to enhance the knowledge of the cultural infrastructure and increase the visibility of local creative talent both within the community and abroad.
Nipissing Arts Council Objectives
To Communicate
Communication is our primary focus. Through our website, events calendar, e-mail broadcasts, newsletters and promotion though local media sources, we will inform, advocate and support the local arts community and general public.
To Advocate
We will work to raise awareness and advocate for artists and arts organizations of all disciplines within the Nipissing District. We will align ourselves with the needs of our community and proactively respond to these needs through advocating, supporting and partnering.
To Support
Our goal is to provide information and to direct interested parties to potential funding opportunities and to assist with the promotion, production, and creation of art events in the community. We will foster and promote development and raise the Nipissing District’s artistic profile.
To Partner
We are open to all partnerships with community arts organizations and artists from all disciplines within the Nipissing District. We will consider partnership opportunities from organizations outside of the Nipissing District if the activities are deemed beneficial to the artists and arts organizations within the district.
